Navigation Bylaw; information and description

A Citizens Petition created to preserve the safety and recreational beauty of the water, enjoyed by thousands ever year, for boating, fishing, swimming, sailing and overall enjoyment.

IT DOES:

• protect and promote safe and unobstructed navigation for motor boats and other watercraft in order to (i) protect the safety of the public (ii) protect the natural resource (iii) protect people and the environment (iv) reduce harbor congestion

• fights climate change and promotes Executive Orders 181 to protect the critical role of eel grass and the barrier beaches and salt marshes to fight see level rise

• Allows for exemptions

• Establishes penalties for Violations

IT DOES NOT:

• DOES NOT IMPEDE OR IMPACT LOBSTERMAN IN ANYWAY FROM EARNING A LIVING OR FROM FISHING

• Take ownership or control of Scituate Water in anyway

• Prevent the user of the water, for recreational purposes, in anyway
